Cypress Valley Overview
CYPRESS VALLEY ADVENTURES - OVERVIEW
|
The Canopy
Tour |
|
The Canopy Challenge was heavily impacted by the fires at the end of last summer. The Canopy Challenge will return, bigger and better than ever, sometime this Spring. We will post more details as they become available.
The Canopy Challenge is available for people who have successfully
completed the Canopy Tour, and want more. They can do the Canopy
Challenge the same day, or come back at another time. The Canopy
Challenge takes about two hours and is in a different part of
the creek ravine. There are a few longer faster zip lines, and
a longer, narrower sky bridge with wider gaps between the wooden
planks. After these, guests enter a grove of trees where there
are three paths to choose between, one hard, the second harder
and the third hardest. Guests work to challenge themselves emotionally
and physically to complete this portion of the course. They
will need to work through fear, maintain their balance and use
their own strength all at varying levels. Learn
more about the Canopy Challenge. |

YOUR CANOPY TOUR GUIDES
Each group of approximately six guests is accompanied by two certified guides. Our guides have been well trained on the equipment and risk management procedures and are CPR certified to provide you with a comfortable and exciting tour. Guides also receive continued training about the local flora and fauna. They will be able to answer your questions about the local wildlife and to point out various interesting aspects of the hill country during your tour. Guides will tailor the tour to your interests and bring new and changing information to each tour depending on the season and wildlife encountered.

YOUR ZIP LINE EQUIPMENT
You
will be strapped into quality climbing and technical gear designed
specifically for canopy tours, then attached to a ½ inch steel cable
to fly through the trees. Most zip lines traverse from tree to tree
and land in platforms high up in the canopy.
Cypress Valley Canopy Tours® has been designed and constructed by some of the best technicians in the Ropes Course and Zip-line industry. The steel zip-lines, all rigging, and attachments are routinely tested. For your protection we conduct daily inspections and log daily the condition of lines, platforms, and equipment. We follow a rigid set of risk management standards, guidelines, and checks. In addition, Cypress Valley Canopy Tours® hires an outside company to periodically certify our course and equipment. The course was designed to meet ACCT (Association for Challenge Courses) standards.
